In the light of the recent events and the growing animosity between the neighboring countries – India and Pakistan on the borders, the team Lighthouse has decided to have a different and more creative way of dealing with the overwhelming emotions.

Thus, the ‘Indo- Pak Photo Peace contest 2017’ was held where a lot of Indians and Pakistanis of different ages and backgrounds took part. The sponsors for the online competition included the Indian Federation for Indian Sub continent entrepreneurs (IFISE) and Athif Ali Khan’s photography school. Newsd was the digital partner for the unique online photography contest.

The winners were declared today for both the categories – A and B. In the category A, the first prize was bagged by Habibullah Qureshi from Pakistan while the winner of the second prize was Utpal K, from India. In the category B, the first prize was won by Deepshika (India) and the second prize was won by Samuel Endigeri (India).

The pictures portray all shades of emotions from sparkling and colorful lives of Indians and Pakistanis to the sorrow and pain of building borders. The judges for the competition were Atif Qureshi, Shabbir Ali Siraj and Sajid Dadabhoy.

Lighthouse team strongly believes that peace is strength and it knows no borders. “We cannot change the politics of our countries but we can change the tomorrow’s history with today’s creativity,” said the team Lighthouse on the occasion.
