Lok Sabha 2019: Hema Malini forgets her works for Mathura as BJP MP, says “have done a lot but can’t remember right now”

BJP Mathura Member of Parliament (MP) Hema Malini on Monday, when asked about her work in the constituency, she replied, “ I have done a lot of work but it is so much work that I can’t recognise right now. I don’t remember.”

While talking to a news channel, Hema Malini had said that she has done a lot of work such as making “many roads”, she further added that she “can’t remember now” and that the people of the constituency are happy with her. She said, she is confident of winning the elections.

Actor-turned-politician and sitting MP Hema Malini filed her nomination papers on Monday from Mathura for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.

This is the second time she has secured a ticket for Mathura, her parliamentary constituency. The Congress has fielded Mahesh Pathak and the SP-BSP-RLD alliance’s candidate is Kunwar Narendra Singh.

Last week, Hema Malini clarified that she would not be interested in shifting to any other constituency, as she was deeply attached to Mathura due to her devotion to Lord Krishna.

Hema Malini, who joined the saffron party in the year 2004, has served as an MP in the Rajya Sabha from 2003 to 2009. She was elected from the Mathura seat in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections, where she defeated RLD’ Jayant Choudhary.
