The rumoured couple Sara Ali Khan, Kartik Aaryan starrer Love Aaj Kal 2 hit the theatres on this Valentine’s day and the release date of the film turned right for it and it saw a huge numbers in its box office of Feb 14 but it also witnessed a major drop on its first Saturday and has definitely given a heartbreak to Imtiaz Ali directorial.
On Valentine’s Day, the film collected Rs 11.75 Crore nett at the box office on Day 1 and managed to get a good start due to the special day release. On the second day, Saturday came out with a drop in numbers and Love Aaj Kal 2 minted Rs 7 crore nett as it shows a drop of around 40%.
Love Aaj Kal in total has till now collected Rs 18.75 crore nett. It will be hard for Sara and Kartik’s film to sustain owing to the average reviews.
The film stars Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan in lead roles whereas it also stars debutante Arushi Sharma and actor Randeep Hooda in it. The film is a sequel of 2009 Love Aaj Kal which starred Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in it.
The film’s song also did not leave any imprints on the audience and thus now have slowed down its box office collection which is too early for second-day to face such drop.
