March 1 has started with a major trouble for the common man, with the price of domestic LPG price rising by Rs 25 per cylinder. LPG cylinders were hiked 3 times in February last month, with the cylinder becoming dearer by Rs 100 in February alone. With today’s hike price has increased by Rs 125 in just 26 days.
LPG cylinder price increased by Rs 25
Prices of LPG cylinders are reviewed at the beginning of every month and then on the 15th day, then the price is decided. IOC had hiked the price of 14.2 kg LPG cylinder three times in February. The price was hiked for the first time on February 4, the second on February 14, and the third time on February 25. Today, on the first day of March, LPG cylinders have been made costlier by Rs 25 again.
New LPG Cylinder Prices
The non-subsidised LPG cylinder in Delhi has now become costlier by Rs 25 to Rs 819, earlier it was Rs 794. Similarly, in Mumbai, LPG cylinders will have to pay Rs 819. Kolkata will have to pay the highest Rs 845.50 for LPG cylinders; customers will have to pay Rs 835 for LPG cylinders in Chennai.
In December, LPG cylinder prices had risen twice. It was raised from Rs 594 to Rs 644 on December 1 and was then re-priced at Rs 694 on December 15. That means, within a month, Rs 100 was increased. Prices were not hiked in January. COOKING GAS (14.2 KG) was priced at Rs 694 in January.
