This Friday saw two big releases at the box office, Sonchiriya and Luka Chuppi. While Sonchiriya couldn’t get hold of the audience, Kartik Aryan starrer Luka Chuppi, on the other hand, is winning at the box office.
Luka Chuppi opened with a decent Rs 8.01 crore on Friday that marked Kartik Aryan’s highest opener till date and it has witnessed an amazing weekend at the box office. The film has earned a total of Rs 32.13 crore over the weekend.
Now on Monday which was a partial holiday due to Mahashivratri, the film has passed the Monday test and continues to win heart by collecting Rs 7.90 crore taking the total to Rs 40.03 crore, confirms Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh. The film will comfortably cross Rs 50 crore in the first week.

The film also stars Aparshakti Khurrana and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
The movie is based on Guddu and Rashmi. When Guddu proposes marriage to Rashmi, she wanted to know him more and they take a 20-day assignment in Gwalior to live together with each other. They pretend to be a married couple and the things take a hilarious turn when their families barge in and wrongly discover them to be married.
Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer Luka Chuppi have been released along with Sushant Sing Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar starrer Sonchiriya and the former has managed its upper hand at the box office collection despite the competition.
