Madhya Pradesh: Congress MLA Umang Singhar puts forward Tribal and farmer’s demand

The recent state-level conference held in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh by Congress raised many concerns in context with the welfare of the tribal community and farmers.

Congress MLA from Gandhwani Umang Singhar said that the Central government had earlier announced to boost Minimum Support Price (MSP) however; the farmers seek aid in terms of guarantee to crop purchase in large volumes.

AICC secretary, Umang Singhar, on the behalf of the tribal society, proposed few demands.

–          Farmers should be promised and given a guaranteed crop purchase.

–          The tribal religions should be given recognition.

–          Congress party should celebrate August 9 as ‘World Tribal Day’

The conference was attended by Madhya Pradesh Congress president Kamal Nath and All India Congress General Secretary, Deepak Babaria.
