A shocking case of honour killing has come up in the Tilwara police station area in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. A young man who was angry by his sister’s love marriage killed his brother-in-law with an axe.
When his wife got to know about this incident, she hanged herself and died. The incident has caused an atmosphere of panic among the villagers. The Madhya Pradesh police arrived at the spot and started the investigation.
Police said Vijet Kashyap, who lived near Tilwara Ghat, had a love marriage with Pooja Shukla, who was a resident of Ramanagara two months ago. The pooja’s brother, Mintu Shukla, protested, but then the matter calmed down.
To avenge it, Mintu axed his brother-in-law Vijet Kashyap on Thursday morning. According to police, the accused has escaped after the murder.
As per locals, after killing Vijet, Mintu placed his chopped head in a sack and reached the police station. However, the police are not saying anything in this matter as per Nai Dunia’s report.
As soon as the murder of Vijet was reported, his family was in complete shock. All of them arrived on the murder scene, where his wife, Pooja, fainted, seeing the body of Vijet. The family immediately took Pooja home in that unconscious state. After a while, when someone checked on the Pooja, they found her hanging in the house. The police have started the investigation after sending the body to the Post Mortem.
