To everybody’s surprise, three days after the expansion of his council of ministers, Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray allocated bungalows and office space to the newly inducted 36 ministers but the much-awaited portfolio allocation between the allies remains awaited.

The state administration’s General Administration Department (GAD) released a list of official residences for the newly inducted cabinet ministers on Thursday and allotted bungalow A-6 opposite Mantralaya to the chief minister’s son, Aaditya Thackeray.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has been allotted the Devgiri bungalow in Malabar Hill. According to the Times of India report, Pawar had occupied this place during the Congress-NCP regime from 1999-2014.

Ashok Chavan was allotted the Meghdoot bungalow and Shivgiri bungalow was allotted to Dilip Walse Patil.

All the 30 cabinet ministers have been allocated offices in Mantralaya while the six junior ministers will have to operate from Vidhan Bhavan, said officials.
