The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on Thursday declared the Maharashtra SSC Result 2026 for Class 10 students, with the overall pass percentage recorded at 92.09 percent. More than 16 lakh students who appeared for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations can now access their marksheets online through the official result portals.
The board announced the results during a press conference held at 11 am, following which the result links were activated at 11:15 am on official websites including mahresult.nic.in and mahahsscboard.in.
This year’s pass percentage marks a decline from last year’s 94.10 percent, reflecting a tougher evaluation cycle and stricter anti-copying measures implemented across examination centres.
Over 16.15 Lakh Students Appeared
According to the board, a total of 16,15,489 students registered for the Maharashtra SSC examinations held between February 20 and March 18, 2026. This included 8,65,740 boys, 7,49,736 girls, and 13 transgender students.
The examinations were conducted across 5,111 centres statewide under the supervision of nine divisional boards, including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Nashik, Kolhapur, Konkan, Amravati, Latur, and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
Nearly 179 students scored 100 percentile this year. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar reported the highest number of perfect scorers with 24 students, followed by Kolhapur with 15 and Pune with 12.
CCTV Surveillance Introduced Across Centres
For the first time, Maharashtra Board implemented extensive CCTV surveillance in classrooms as part of its “copy-free exam campaign.” Flying squads and monitoring teams were also deployed at sensitive centres to prevent malpractice.
Board officials had warned schools functioning as examination centres that approval could be cancelled if cheating incidents were reported on campus.
The move was aimed at increasing transparency and improving the credibility of the board examination system.
How Students Can Check Maharashtra SSC Result 2026
Students can download their provisional marksheets by visiting the official websites and entering their roll number or seat number along with their mother’s first name.
Digital marksheets are also available through DigiLocker and SMS services, while original certificates will later be distributed by schools.
This year, the board has also introduced a combined marksheet-cum-certificate featuring student photographs and QR code verification to simplify digital authentication during admissions and verification processes.
Students dissatisfied with their scores can apply online for verification of marks, photocopies of answer sheets, and re-evaluation through the official MSBSHSE portal.
