Main Vaapas Aaunga OTT Release: After creating buzz in theatres, Main Vaapas Aaunga is set to make its digital debut on Netflix. The makers had confirmed the streaming partner through the film’s promotional material before its theatrical release, making Netflix the official OTT home for the Imtiaz Ali directorial.
However, the official OTT release date has not been announced yet. Right now, the movie is still doing its theatrical release after hitting cinemas on June 12, 2026. The makers haven’t shared a clear date for when it’ll show up on streaming.

Even though Netflix has grabbed the digital rights, viewers might have to sit tight for a few more weeks before they can watch it at home. Looking at how several other recent Hindi releases have gone, industry talk says Main Vaapas Aaunga can start streaming in late July, or maybe early August 2026.

About Main Vaapas Aaunga
Directed by the much praised filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, Main Vaapas Aaunga is a period romantic drama set during the 1947 Partition of India. The film leans into themes like love, distance, recollection, togetherness, and the kind of emotional wounds migration leaves behind across generations. It mixes a very personal romance with big historical moments, so it feels like one of Imtiaz Ali’s more heartfelt stories.
The cast includes Diljit Dosanjh in the lead, along with Sharvari, Vedang Raina, Naseeruddin Shah and Banita Sandhu. The music is by A. R. Rahman while Irshad Kamil has written the lyrics, and this continues the familiar, successful Rahman-Imtiaz Ali partnership.
