Kangana Ranaut’s hit film Manikarnika is effortlessly charming all sections of audiences and film critics both nationally and internationally.
After patriotic hit songs Vijayi Bhava and Bharat, makers have released the new romantic song with melodious lyrics in mellifluous voice of Pratibha Singh Baghel and Ravi Mishra named “Rajaji”.
The song describes Jhansi ki Rani Lakshmi Bai’s and Maharaja Gangadhar Rao’s sweet and romantic love story set in the pre-independence era of India in Jhansi right after their marriage in the film Manikarnika.
In the song, we can see how Kangana looks very stunning yet an alluring quintessentially royal Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi where her eyes reflect innocence.
We can see her love for animals in the song which describes her loving nature towards animals.
Also, another intriguing factor is that her subdued and polite nature sets a perfect contrast to her fierce warrior persona in the film. Rajaji from Manikarnika reflects the pure and genuine love between Maharaja Gangadhar Rao and Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi.
Golden trio Shankar Ehsaan Loy’s music in this track has fused Indian musical instrument flute with live rhythms and percussions with strings, thereby giving it an old world charm feel which had it’s own aura and charisma.
The film has been in news for its delay and controversies surrounding it and was released a day before republic day on 25th January 2019. It is based on Rani Laxmibai, who fought till her last breath against the East India Company and the British to prevent her kingdom of Jhansi from falling into their hands. The film has gained mixed reviews but the critics have applauded Kangana for her immense acting and portrayal of Rani Laxmibai. It is directed by Kangana Ranaut and Krish Jagarlamudi.
