Netflix’s original ‘Masaba Masaba’ is based on the life of famous fashion designer Masaba Gupta who is a daughter of legendary actress Neena Gupta. It is a semi-autobiography based on the protagonist’s life where instances from her life have been taken into account.
‘Masaba Masaba’ has six episodes where each episode is approximately half-hour long. Masaba and Neena played the fictionalised version of themselves in the show and aced their characters.
The story revolves around Masaba Gupta who runs her own label ‘House Of Masaba’. After her divorce, she moved back to her mother Neena Gupta’s house.
The series shows light moments and the amazing mother-daughter relationship which they both share. Neena Gupta can be seen attempting to find work at the age of 60. She can be seen carrying a portfolio even after being an established actress.
Masaba Masaba shows the struggles of both mother-daughter and how they carry themselves upon their personal and professional front. Masaba Gupta proves to be an amazing actor with natural instincts. She surely makes her mother proud and it seems the acting super-power is inbuilt in her.
