The Maulvi identified as Muhammed Sadiq Razvi has spoken out against the dead YouTube sensation Danish Zehen who passed away last month in a car accident.
In a viral video of 3 minute 53 second, Sadiq Razvi allegedly expressed his disappointment over the fact that when an ‘able’ person dies, ‘Muslim youths are unaffected’. “But if a dancer, singer and drunkard dies, not only boys, even girls put his photo on their mobiles.”
“Someone was saying that he had 4.5 lakh subscribers. But the reality was that he was staying with his girlfriend away from his parents. When he died in a car crash, the face was unrecognisable. And eyewitnesses say that when he was taken to a kabristan, it was told that the tattoos on his hands should be burnt before burying him,” the Maulavi allegedly said in the video.

He added, “He must have been playing juwwa, drinking alcohol, having sex. He has done all of these sins in his 21-year-old life. I ask you all, can lakhs of subscribers save him from Allah’s curse?” he added.
However, in a conversation with a web publication, Razvi said, “A lot of people are spreading this video on social media, where my statement has been portrayed in a completely different light. My intention was not to hurt the family. In fact, one of his family members from Mumbra contacted me after watching the video, and I apologised to them. I hadn’t even heard of Danish Zehen earlier. But a lot of people were complaining to me about how youngsters were following his way of life and troubling their parents. And so, I said all of that at a program in Surat on December 28, 2018.”
If the family is hurt, then I’m ready to apologise to them again. I’ll also file a complaint against those circulating this video for their own agenda,” he added.
Danish Zehen, died in a car accident on December 20 near Mumbai. Danish, was coming back from a wedding in Kurla, when he lost control of his car and hit a roadside wall. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
