Candidates with fewer incorrect attempts in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology will be given preference in case of a tie.

MHT CET result 2024: In the near future, the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) result 2024 will be announced by the Maharashtra CET Cell. Recently, the MHT CET 2024 result date was revised.

Announcing the MHT CET results 2024 for PCB and PCM will take place on June 19. Previously, the MHT CET results were announced on June 10.

The MHT CET result 2024 can be accessed and downloaded by visiting cetcell.mahacet.org, the official website for the entrance exam.

The MHT CET 2024 exam was conducted between April 22 and May 17. The MHT CET answer key 2024 was published on May 21. The answer key was subject to objection until May 26.

MHT CET result 2024 will be released along with the final answer key. Candidates will need their application number and date of birth to access and download the results.

Tie-breaking policy for MHT CET 2024

Below is the tie-breaking policy for MHT CET 2024.

  • Candidates with fewer incorrect attempts in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology will be given preference in case of a tie.
  • To break the tie, those with the fewest incorrect attempts in Mathematics and Biology will be chosen.
  • In the event that the tie persists, candidates with fewer incorrect answers in chemistry will have an advantage.
  • There will be a preference given to those who scored higher on the Class 12 board exam if there is a tie.
  • Individuals older in age will be given preference if the tie remains.

Normalization method and score calculation for MHT CET 2024

Multiple shifts and days were used in the MHT CET 2024 exam, potentially resulting in different difficulty levels.

As part of the normalization process for MHT CET results, candidates are not given any advantage or disadvantage based on the difficulty of the question papers.

Using a specific formula, the percentile scores of MHT CET candidates are computed accurately to five decimal places:

A candidate’s percentile score in the MHT CET is calculated as 100 times (the number of candidates with the same score as him/her) times (the number of candidates with the same mark as him/her).
