Tigmanshu Dhulia directorial movie Milan Talkies is a light-hearted romantic film that has a lot of breezy and light moments to cherish. The film was in development from some time. Initially, there were reports of Imran Khan being the lead of the film but the actor walked off due to unknown reasons. Also, there were reports of Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra being part of the film.
Then finally after years, the director Tigmanshu Dhulia made the movie with Mirzapur fame Ali Fazal. The movie also stars Vikram Vedha actress Shraddha Srinath in the lead role. Now that the director is back with his direction it would be interesting to see that if he would mint out some earnings from it or not.
The film is based in Allahabad and is about a love story between Annu Kumar and Mythili. The movie portrays romance just like a regular Bollywood film but it is actually the director’s treatment that makes it different and watchable. The director is known for his action stint but the first half of the movie conveys that it is the director’s most light-hearted attempt of making a movie.
The movie does turn a bit serious towards the end of the interval but the light-hearted moments in the movie will make you laugh and will keep you hooked up towards the end. The name of the film Milan Talkies is the name of the theatre in the film that the hero and his friends hang out at.
The cast of the film has performed really well and will manage to get your attention. The cast also includes Sanjai Mishra, Ashutosh Rana and director Tigmanshu Dhulia himself. There is easy chemistry seen between the leads of the film. The second half is a promising serious plot that makes doesn’t make you lost in the beauty of the light-hearted moments rather makes you cherish them.
