Mini Replied…
This sucks. Thanks for forwarding me this thread. I wasn’t part of the 2012 season but I know most of what he has articulated is known to happen on reality tv. One of the reasons I bowed out. This incessant need to create false emotion.
RIP Organic, pure TV.— Mini Mathur (@minimathur) August 22, 2018
Mini Mathur has hosted first three seasons of the show and then made a comeback in the sixth season of the show. That was the last time she was seen in the Indian Idol platform. In her reply to Nishant’s tweet, she wrote

I’m not talking about idol alone.. my comment is towards the entire attitude of reality tv in general. To absolve them a bit.. stories need to entertain or move the audience and the crew finds ways of picking those out. It’s a job. Only wish it was done without hurting people.

I have personally never seen any slapping & ridiculing .. and I wouldn’t ever endorse that on something im associated with. I have seen people wait endlessly though and that can be tough.

Calling the crew member’s ‘vultures’ Nishant has accused them of fabricating responses on behalf of some candidates of using their stories to create fake emotions on television to raise TRP of the show. If a contestant demands any details on the ongoing audition, he/she is assaulted by the crew members. He also alleged that in order to create humour in the show, some contestants who cannot sing upto the mark are sent purposely in front of the judges to be made fun of.
