Motorola Edge 70 India Launch: The buzz around Motorola’s upcoming phone Motorola Edge 70 has just turned real, its India launch has now been officially confirmed. With a dedicated microsite live on Flipkart, confirmed specs, and a firm launch date, the Edge 70 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated smartphone launches of the season. Here’s everything you need to know.
Motorola Edge 70 India Launch
Motorola has announced that the Edge 70 will go on sale in India on 15 December 2025 at 12:00 PM IST.
When it goes live, you’ll be able to buy it via Flipkart, the official Motorola India online store, and likely select offline retail stores.
A dedicated Flipkart microsite teasing the launch is already live, showing off its design, colours, and some of the key specifications.
Colours, and Build
One of the first things you notice about the Edge 70: its ultra-slim profile. At just 5.99 mm thickness and a weight around 159 g, it’s being pitched as one of the slimmest smartphones available, a notable contrast to increasingly heavier devices.
The official colour palette for India includes three Pantone-certified shades:
- Pantone Bronze Green
- Pantone Gadget Grey
- Pantone Lily Pad
Display, Performance, and Software
Under the hood, the Edge 70 promises serious capability for its class:
It runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset powerful enough for everyday tasks, multitasking, and more demanding apps.
The display is a 6.7-inch pOLED panel with 1.5K resolution, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness up to 4,500 nits, which should deliver vivid, bright visuals even outdoors.
On the software side, the phone will ship with Android 16, layered with Motorola’s Hello UI, and the company has committed to three years of OS upgrades plus four years of security updates.

Motorola Edge 70 India Launch: Cameras, and Battery
The photography and endurance front also looks strong:
Rear cameras: A triple 50 MP setup, the primary sensor with OIS (optical image stabilization), an ultra-wide lens (with macro/auto features), and LED flash.
Front camera: A 50 MP quad-pixel selfie shooter useful for clear selfies, social media, and video calls.
Video: The main as well as the selfie camera can record 4K videos which is said to be up to 60 fps (however, some sources talk about 30 fps/60 fps maximum) which means that the video capabilities are quite good.
Battery: The worldwide version is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery, whereas the Indian variant is equipped with a larger 5,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery, thus ensuring longer battery life without the need to sacrifice the attractive slim form factor.
Charging: The phone supports 68 W wired fast charging and 15 W wireless charging.
Cooling & durability: To handle thermal load, Motorola has included a vapour-chamber cooling system. The phone also boasts MIL-STD-810H military-grade durability and IP68 + IP69 dust/water resistance.
Price Expectations
While Motorola hasn’t officially confirmed pricing yet, multiple credible sources and leaks suggest the Edge 70 could enter the Indian market at a sub-₹35,000 price point.
If that turns out to be accurate, the Edge 70 could undercut or compete with many mid-range to upper–midrange devices, offering a rare mix of slim design, decent performance, good cameras, and long-term software support.
