As Republic Day nears, this week is all about patriotism. This week two Hindi movies are releasing, Nawazuddin Siddiqui along with Amrita Rao will star in the political and controversial film Thackeray and Kangana Ranaut kickstarts with a strong female character with her movie Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi.

Bollywood movies releasing this week:

Thackeray:

Release Date- 25 January 2019

Based on the life of Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray. The political figure’s role is played by Nawazuddin Siddiqui while bringing his wife Meenatai on the big screens is Amrita Rao. The movie is directed by Abhijit Panse is simultaneously shot in both Marathi and Hindi.

Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi:

Release Date- 25 January 2019

Partly directed by Kangana Ranaut and Krish, the movie revolves around Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi who fought against the British during the Indian Rebellion of 1857. The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, who will make her Bollywood debut, Richard Keep, Jisshu Sengupta, Danny Denzongpa.

Next week on February 1 three Bollywood movies will be releasing which are ‘Amavas’ starring Sachiin Joshi, Nargis Fakhri; ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga’ brings father-daughter duo Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor together on the big screen for the first time; ‘The Fakir of Venice’ stars Farhan Akhtar, Annu Kapoor and Kamal Sidhu in the lead roles.

Last week four Bollywood movies released, all on the same date which was 18 January. Rangeela Raja, Bombariya, Fraud Saiyaan and Why Cheat India are the movies that released last week.
