Former Indian Cricket team Captain and legend MS Dhoni tweet of thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the most retweeted tweet in Indian Sports during 2020. As known by many, MS dhoni has always been the man of few words, especially on social media sites.

 Despite his silence and calmness in character both inside and outside of the field, he possesses a giant fan following in these sites. Dhoni who played his last match for India in World Cup Semifinal 2019 vs New Zealand had the world in shock when on 15th August he decided to retire from Indian Cricket. 

MS DHONI Retirement:

Soon after his announcement, his farewell post went viral which left the whole cricketing world in shock. Given his aura, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also quick to wish him the best for the future and penned him a letter to thank him for his services.

Dhoni who was also moved by the PM’s gesture took the moment and posted a thank you message on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

“An Artist, Soldier and Sportsperson what they crave for is appreciation, that their hard work and sacrifice is getting noticed and appreciated by everyone.thanks PM @narendramodi for your appreciation and good wishes,” Dhoni wrote.

As confirmed by Twitter India, Dhoni’s tweet was the most retweeted tweet in Indian sports in the year 2020. So far, the tweet has garnered more than 78, 000 retweets.
