Mumbai: Cops help woman give birth to baby on railway platform

Commuters and cops present at the Dadar Railways station in Mumbai prove to be heroes for a  21-old pregnant lady. Three women, including a police official, created a makeshift ‘labour room’ by holding up two bedsheets to cover the pregnant woman Geeta Deepak Wagare who was in immense labour pain and had to deliver the child immediately.

On the evening on Decemebr 24, Geeta Deepak Wagare and her husband were at the Dadar station, waiting for a train to Pune. As they waited, she went into labour pain following which, she was immediately attended by 24×7 medical assistance team of the railways.

Railway police was also present at the spot who came for the assistance. In no time, commuters and cops helped to cover the woman as she delivered the baby.

The mother and the child are said to be fine and were taken to a hospital immediately after the delivery.
