Alliance Air Flights: Alliance Air has started a new flight service that connects Mumbai, Porbandar, Keshod and Ahmedabad. The airline used its 72-seater ATR-72 aircraft for this route. The new service is meant to make travel easier for local business people, tourists and people who need to move fast during a medical emergency. The inaugural flight got a grand welcome at Porbandar Airport and was received with a water cannon salute.

The airline has said that the flights on this route will run two days a week, on Thursday and Saturday. Alliance Air’s own posts also say that the Mumbai-Porbandar service will operate every Thursday and Saturday, and that the Porbandar to Ahmedabad service via Keshod will start from 27 June 2026. The company announced the new Mumbai and Porbandar direct flights on 20 June 2026.
Not everyone is happy about the ticket prices. Local people have said that before COVID-19, Porbandar-Ahmedabad fares were much lower, around Rs 700 to Rs 3000, but now they are seeing prices in the Rs 3000 to Rs 5000 range. The report also says the Porbandar-Mumbai service had been stopped earlier and is now back after a 70-day gap. This new link is expected to help Porbandar stay better connected with big commercial cities and economic centres.
