Nag Panchami 2025: The festival of Nag Panchami is coming very soon, and many people are still confused will it be celebrated today or tomorrow? This festival is all about showing respect and praying to snake gods, known as Nag Devtas. It happens every year on the fifth day (Panchami Tithi) of the Shukla Paksha during the Shravan month.
But this year in 2025, the dates are a little confusing because different places are following different customs. Some people will do the rituals on July 28, while others will celebrate it on July 29.
Krishna Janmashtami Date 2025: Will Gokulashtami Be Celebrated on August 15 or 16?
The reason for this is that the Panchami Tithi actually starts very late on July 28, at around 11:25 PM, and it goes on till 12:47 AM on July 29. So technically, the main part of the festival falls on July 29. That’s why people in many parts of India will celebrate it on that day. Just one day before, on July 27, people celebrated Hariyali Teej, which was on the third day (Tritiya Tithi) of the same Shukla Paksha.
Why Nag Panchami is Special?
This year, Nag Panchami has something extra special. Two very lucky yogas will be happening that day. People who follow Krishna Paksha Panchami Tithi will see a Saubhagya Yoga during the festival. On the other side, those who celebrate it according to Shukla Paksha Panchami Tithi will be blessed with Shiva Yoga. Both yogas are considered super lucky and help make prayers more powerful. Many believe it is the best time to pray to get good blessings and remove problems from life.
Nag Panchami is very important in Hindu culture. On this day, people pray to snake gods because they are believed to have strong powers. Many people think that praying to these Nag Devtas can help them with money problems or any kind of personal struggle.
Devotees offer things like milk, flowers, and prayers near snake holes or statues of snakes. People also believe that the snake gods are very close to Lord Shiva, so praying to them makes Lord Shiva happy, and he blesses them in return.

Nag Panchami 2025: Spiritual Significance
There is also a deep spiritual meaning behind the festival. Sadhguru has said that in India, there are twelve different kinds of Naga worship, and each one has its own type of blessing and energy. This shows that the festival is not just about rituals but also about a strong connection with nature and divine energy. People come together with faith and devotion, hoping for peace, health, and happiness in their lives.
