In what is suspected to be case of the dreaded Blue Whale Challenge, a 17-year-old girl identified as Mansi Jonwal committed suicide after playing the online game ‘Blue Whale’. The incident took place earlier this week on Monday in Nagpur.

According to initial reports, the victim after writing ‘Cut Here to Exit’ on her wrist, cut a vein in order to complete a task assigned to her and then hung herself.

The deceased was allegedly hooked on the deadly Blue Whale Challenge game since the past three months.

The teenager’s death in this manner sent ripples around town and worried parents wanted to know how the online suicide game, which has been banned in India, still was accessible to the victim.

DCP Nilesh Bharane said that police are investigating the case further in this regard.

The game has reportedly consumed nearly 100 individuals lives in India itself in the last year.

In India, the first death case linked to the infamous “Blue Whale game” came to the light in Mumbai last year on July 26, when a 14-year-old boy from Andheri killed himself by jumping off the terrace in his building
