Nalanda: Son of LJP district president Shashi Paswan arrested for bank robbery in Jharkhand

In a shocking incident, 2.5 lakh rupees were looted in Dena Bank at Pilkhi in Rajgir police station area of the district last 4 months ago. Two vicious bank robbers accused in the bank robbery case have been arrested by police from Baritu in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

One of the arrested bank robbers is the son of union minister Ram vilas Paswan’s party  (LJP) leader. He has been identified as Shashi Paswan, son of Lojopa District Head Raju Paswan of Nalanda.

Shashi Paswan was also involved in the Cannara Bank robbery case in Sohsarai, the posh locality of Biharsharif. About Rs 36 lakh was looted from the bank 2 years ago. During that time, he was arrested by the police, after which he was out on bail.

Lojopa District Head’s son is accused of being involved in several incidents of bank looting. He had also carried out the robbery case at the Dena Bank branch in Pilakhi, Rajgir, four months ago. Earlier, his name was also reported in the incidents of bank loot in Ekgarsarai, Lheri. After these incidents, he was absconding and the police were actively searching for him.

In fact, Shashi Paswan left Bihar and fled to Jharkhand after the Dena Bank loot incident took place. After a long investigation, the police succeeded in arresting him. The other arrested bank is Goldie, son of Prabhat Kumar Singh of Biharsharif, who is described as Shashi’s right hand.

Nalanda SP Nilesh Kumar told a news portal that Shashi Paswan has been involved in several incidents of bank looting. He was also named in more than two lakh robberies from a LIC agent in the Laheri police station area along with Cannara Bank of Sohsarai, Dena Bank of Rajgir.

He was also involved in several bank robberies in Samastipur and Darbhanga district, including the looting of 91 thousand rupees from a South Central Gramin Bank worker at Ekgarsarai, a flipcard worker in Deep Nagar. His other partner has also been arrested in the past.
