National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) presented its annual report to President Ram Nath Kovind. A delegation of the Commission led by the Chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes Vijay Sampla met president and presented the annual report of the Commission for 2018-19 & 2019-20.
It is likely that the report will be presented in the next session of the Parliament. Sampla along with vice chairman of the commission Arun Halder, member Dr. Anju bala & Subhash Ramnath Pardhi presented the report to president.
Presently 6th commission is working and it was the first annual report of the present commission. 6th commission was constituted in the month of February this year under the chairmanship of Vijay Sampla.
As part of its Constitutional obligations the Commission prepares and submits Annual Reports and other Reports to the President of India. Annual Reports of the commission have specific recommendations related to the subject matter and protection of rights, safeguards and welfare of the Scheduled Castes.
According to the constitution, “It shall be the duty of the Commission to present report annually to the President.
