New OTT Releases This Week:The second week of September is just stacked for OTT junkies. Like, seriously, they’re throwing everything at us with regional films, massive blockbusters, goofy comedies, some mushy rom-com action, and don’t even get me started on reality crap and documentaries. Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, SunNXT are all dumping a buffet of new stuff in every language you can think of like Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam, English, you name it.

Many of the films had successful theatre runs and are now making it to streaming. Others are original to OTT. This mix gives diversity, some content for those who like mass blockbusters, others for niche or thoughtful viewing.

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda starrer 'Saiyaara' teaser out

Kannada

Su From So

Su from So Malayalam Release: When is Kannada horror-comedy dropping in Kerala?

Probably the biggest Kannada name this week. A hit film in 2025, this one blends village life, cultural authenticity, humour. Now streaming on JioHotstar since September 9.

New OTT Releases This Week: Where to Watch Coolie, Saiyaara, The Ba***ds of Bollywood and Other Movies

New OTT Releases This Week: Malayalam and Multi-language

Detective Ujjwalan: Comedy-mystery: local detective + a mysterious killer in Plaachikkaavu village. Available from September 11 on Lionsgate Play & Netflix; also dubbed into Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi.

Meesha: A drama involving six friends who come together for dinner; secrets emerge, threatening their bond. Streaming from September 12 on SunNXT (Malayalam & Tamil).

New OTT Releases This Week: Other Interesting Picks

Genre variety is strong. From love stories (Saiyaara, Rambo in Love), to comedy thrillers (Bakasura Restaurant), action-entertainers (Coolie) and mystery crime (Detective Ujjwalan). So the week isn’t dominated by one kind of content.

Dubbed / multi-language availability is increasingly common. Many Malayalam originals are being dubbed, regional films are cropping up in multiple languages. Makes it easier for non-native speakers to explore.

Some content had successful theatre runs and then came to OTT (e.g. Coolie, Su From So, Saiyaara) which is now a pattern. Helps in gauging what might appeal to larger audiences.

Which Ones Should You Watch First?

If I were you, here are the ones I’d pick to start off the week:

1. Coolie: For mass entertainment, action + Rajinikanth’s action with high production.

2. Su From So: If you like regional flavour and a lighter, charming story.

3. Detective Ujjwalan: For mystery lovers; good if you want something engaging but not too heavy.

4. Meesha: For drama + relationships + a view into friendship dynamics.

5. Saiyaara: If you want emotional romance with strong narrative.
