Sanjev Arora, the newly elected MLA from Ludhiana West, has joined the Punjab Cabinet as a minister. His induction was marked by an official ceremony at the Raj Bhavan, where Governor Gulab Chand Kataria administered the oath of office and secrecy.
The event saw the presence of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, various Cabinet ministers, and several other political leaders. Arora’s inclusion raises the total number of members in Mann’s Cabinet to 17, including the chief minister.
Arora secured his position in a June 19 by-election, defeating Congress candidate Bharat Bhushan Ashu by 10,637 votes. This bypoll came after the unfortunate passing of AAP MLA Gurpreet Bassi Gogi in January.
