Next-Gen Apple Accessories: Soon, Apple Magic accessories will incorporate a USB Type-C port. Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard make up the lineup. All of them are still equipped with the obsolete electrical connector. However, if Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is to be believed, Apple will shortly switch to USB-C ports.

In his weekly newsletter titled Power On, Gurman stated that these accessories will receive the USB-C upgrade and debut alongside the new iMac next month. With the introduction of the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple has transitioned its iPhone series to USB-C.
According to Mark Gurman, Apple’s 2023 lineup is deemed a temporary solution until more significant innovations, such as USB-C integration in more devices, are introduced the following year. According to the expert analyst, the new USB-C Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard will debut in October 2023 alongside the iMac. In addition, Gurman forecasts that the company will release the vanilla AirPods with a USB-C charging case in 2023. Notably, Apple has already released the AirPods Pro second generation with USB-C.
Gurman also predicts that the subsequent iteration of AirPods Max will include a USB Type-C charging port. However, the analyst did not disclose the AirPods Max 2 release date. The newsletter also forecasts that Apple will reintroduce the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo Charger with USB-C charging connectors. After releasing the iPhone 15 series with a USB-C connector, Apple is poised to transition its entire product line, including all accessories, to the Type-C port.
In the same newsletter, Gurman also foretold the release date of the highly anticipated Apple Watch Series X, also known as the Apple Watch 10th Anniversary Edition. Gurman predicts that the new Apple Watch will debut in 2024 or 2025. The new Apple Watch is anticipated to include a health counseling service powered by artificial intelligence, a blood pressure monitor, and new health features.
Gurman has also predicted that Apple may release a redesigned iPhone Pro with an OLED display and enhanced accessories such as a revamped Magic Keyboard. Other predictions include 3nm M3 processors in new MacBooks and Macs, larger displays on the iPhone 16, and the 2024 introduction of Apple’s GPT. This holiday season, Apple is poised to surpass the $117.2 billion it earned during the previous holiday season.
