Bhartiya Janata Party senior leader and Member of Parliament CP Thakur allege Nitish Kumar government of being more brutal than British Raj. Thakur has launched the attack against the coalition partner in Bihar. He is protesting against the lathi charge by the state police during the recent Upper caste reservation movement in state capital Patna.

Thakur said that the protestors were not criminals and they were fighting for their rights. He is also going to hold a protest demonstration on October 7, against the brutal attack and arrests made by police during the Sawarn reservation movement. He demands their immediate release from the jail.

The former union minister also extends his support to the upper caste reservation demands. CP Thakur says that there are many upper castes from the economically weaker section and needed reservation. “A poor is always a poor whether, from any caste or community, those who are in need must be given the benefits of reservation based upon their economic condition,” says Thakur.

CP Thakur said that September 21, baton charge by the police is highly unfortunate and slammed the Nitish Kumar government. “All those were students and were not involved in any violence. Without prior warning the police action is biased and politically motivated,” says Thakur.

Ahead of upcoming general election 2019, everything is not ok between the ruling coalitions of BJP-JDU in Bihar. It is also important to note that the seat sharing between the coalition partners are in the last stage and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was in the national capital to give it a final shape.
