The public discovered the song’s release through a visual presentation which displayed vulgar and sexually explicit content according to audience members. The song’s clips achieved viral status within hours because they were shared across different social media sites which contained strong negative feedback.

Critics argued that the lyrics crossed acceptable boundaries and were inappropriate for general audiences, especially given their easy accessibility to minors. The legal complaints defined the content as “highly vulgar” and “obscene” which resulted in public unrest.

The Hindi version of the song was removed from YouTube and all digital platforms after official complaints passed through the proper channels to authorities.
The move occurred because legal authorities and growing public support needed more control over this particular content. The Hindi version was removed from online platforms yet all other language versions remained accessible which created new arguments about selective censorship.

Government and NHRC Step In
The situation escalated when national authorities became involved in the conflict. The National Human Rights Commission issued a notice to the filmmakers about their allegedly offensive material.
The Government of India ordered the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) to impose severe penalties which included removing the song from all platforms when necessary.
Legal Complaints and Possible Violations
The controversy developed into a legal battle when complaints were filed which accused multiple laws violations including those protecting against obscenity and child exploitation.
The petitioners maintained that the song’s digital platform distribution would lead to minor exposure to unsuitable content. Authorities needed to respond immediately against the song while developing better systems to assess upcoming releases.
“This showed up on my timeline and I had to replay it just to make sure I heard it right. Sad to see commercial songwriting hit a new low..,” Armaan Malik said.
“Sad to see how normalised cheap and vulgar lyrics have become in mainstream songs. Shock value isn’t creativity. Bollywood music once had poetry, emotion and depth, we deserve that standard again,” one user wrote.
Amid the growing outrage, National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) member Priyank Kanungo also reacted strongly to the song. Questioning its content, he asked on March 16, “Who can sit with their civilised family and watch this?”
Reports indicate that complaints were submitted to both the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and law enforcement agencies which resulted in increased examination of the situation.
