A press release of Naga Student’s front strongly demands an explanation from north-eastern MPs regarding their reasons for supporting CAB in the parliament. They strongly condemned the actions of the govt. of India for passing the bill.

The NSF expresses extreme resentment towards the bill and states that the govt. has done great injustice to them. They stated how the bill divides northeast on concessional lines, as well as how it poses a serious threat to the constitution.

The federation also condemns the three Naga members of parliament including Tokheho Yepthomi (Lok sabha), K. G Kenya (Rajya Sabha) and Lore S. Pfoze (Lok Sabha) who spoke and voted in favor of the Bill without considering the threat and consequences that the bill poses against the indigenous population of the northeast.

They demanded reasons from the three MPs who supported the Bill and also to explain their stance as to why the Act will not affect the general public.

The NSF reiterates their firm stand that the Act is discriminatory, anti-minority and that the entire NE states should be left out from the implementation of the act.

The Federation has provided assurance to the masses of NE in general and the Nagas in particular that they will spare no effort to oppose it, and with NESO they shall take up necessary democratic and legal measures to ensure that the law doesn’t affect the NE region.
