HSRP Delhi Traffic Police

Government site bookmyhsrp.com has crashed due to so much user engagement and traffic. This crash was the result of the Delhi Traffic Police announcement that from 15th December they will fine the vehicle owners without the HSRP and Color-coded stickers on the roads of Delhi. The fine is set up to Rs 10,000 which is compoundable to Rs 5,500.

These hefty fines, for the best, made people around Delhi-NCR hop on the official government site but due to so much traffic, it crashed in no time.

As announced by the Traffic police, in the starting phase people who have applied to HSRP and color-coded stickers will not be fined. To avoid a fine they just have to show the slip of the application that they applied for and traffic personnel will let them go.

From the Direction of the Supreme Court in October 2018, the transport department had issued notice and warning many times to the vehicle owners to get their HSRP and color-coding done. But from yesterday, the capital police possess the right to fine the vehicle that doesn’t adhere to the said guidelines of the transport department, as it has become mandatory now.

Earlier, on November 16, the transport department released a notice that read, “General public is hereby informed that the installation of HSRP including the third registration mark (color-coded sticker) on new and old vehicles in the national capital territory (NCT) of Delhi is a mandatory requirement… The owners of old/ existing vehicles are advised to approach their concerned dealers (of their vehicle’s make) for getting affixed HSRP and or color-coded stickers on their vehicles.”
