The ‘Father of The Indian Constitution,’ BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary is marked on April 14 every year. This year on his 130th birth anniversary, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president DK Shivakumar has urged the citizens to make the occasion special by reading the preamble of the constitution.

KPCC has said that it is the need of the hour that people set aside their personal interest, caste and religious divisions and come together as a society and a nation.

In the notice issued by them, they have urged the citizens that on the occasion of BR Ambedkar’s birth anniversary on April 14, they pick up a copy of the constitution and read it aloud at 10 AM as a mark of solidarity, nation’s pride, values and individual dignity.

They also mentioned that the reading can be done from anywhere be it home, a workplace without making a fanfare or causing any disturbance to anyone.

Here’s the official notice

The KPCC ended it by saying that it would be great if the people could declare to the world the oneness of this nation and spirit of every individual in the nation.
