One Day: Justice Delivered Movie Review: Anupam Kher starrer is an average vigilante thriller

The audience expectations might be high this week as there is a thriller releasing but much to their dismay, the film might not satisfy their ‘high expectations’ from it.

One Day: Justice Delivered stars Anupam Kher and Esha Gupta. It is a race against time kind of thriller in which a retired judge (Anupam Kher) is forced to take law into his own hands to ensure that the justice is served. ACP Laxmi Rathi essayed by Esha Gupta tries to resolve the mystery of some missing persons on her own on the other side.

Esha plays a crime branch special officer who decided to investigate the matter when a series of missing person cases involving high profile individuals intrigues her.

The story is no doubt intriguing but you may find the direction sloppy and disjointed in the first part of the film. Comparatively the second half is interesting and it does pick up the pace. On the performances front, Anupam Kher is promising as a retired judge along with the inspector Sharma who is played by Kumud Mishra.

Although Esha has played a similar kind of role earlier this time she makes sure that she outshines with her performance. There are times when you would find her total miscast or misfit and that is because of her Haryanvi accent which is not even close to convincing.

The music of the movie is forgettable and unforgiving as not even a single song goes with the storyline except the title track sung by veteran singer Usha Uthup.

Initially, the movie may seem like a good vigilante thriller but later you would release it is just an average affair. Overall the movie is just a half-hearted tale of justice that only looks like a promising thriller.
