After a lot of leaks and teasers, Oneplus 7 series will finally unveil tonight. Since OnePlus 3, the company is introducing two smartphones together for the first time. The launch event is happening in Bengaluru through a global event on the latest OnePlus products unveiled altogether in European and American markets at the same time. The launch event of the same will be live-streamed on the company’s website from 8 pm IST.
The major highlight of the event is that two phones, OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 pro. While OnePlus 7 is the successor to the OnePlus 6T with an affordable price range, OnePlus 7 pro which is promoted widely is the company’s first attempt at doing an ultra-premium smartphone with flagship features.
OnePlus 7 Pro
It is supposed to be a proper flagship smartphone as suggested by the leaks and rumors. It is expected to be a rival to the Apple iPhone XR and Samsung Galaxy S10 with price expected to start from Rs 49,999 for the base variant with 6GB RAM. In the cost ranging Rs 58,000, there will be a 12GB RAM variant with 256 GB storage.
Similar to the previous models, the OnePlus 7 Pro will indeed come with the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie is expected to be on board looking after the daily errands.
OnePlus is rumored to offer a 90Hz Curved AMOLED display with Quad HD+ resolution. OnePlus CEO Pete Lau already said that the display is three times costlier than other conventional displays on other phones, thereby indirectly hinting towards the 90Hz Refresh Rate.
Just like Oppo and Vivo phones, the OnePlus 7 pro will make use of a pop-up selfie camera to eliminate the display notch.
As per the leaks, OnePlus will carry over the 30W Warp Charge from the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
OnePlus 7
This one is expected to be similar to OnePlus 6T with updated specifications. The base variant of the Oneplus 7 is expected to touch Rs 40,000 this year.
According to the leaks, OnePlus 7 will have a conventional 60Hz full HD+ display with a waterdrop notch on top. It will also get optical in display fingerprint sensor.
Looking at the internal specifications, the OnePlus 7 will be powered by the same Snapdragon 855 chipset with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It will run on Oxygen OS based on Android 9 Pie.
The OnePlus 7 is expected to differ in the case of rear cameras from OnePlus 7 pro. Instead of triple camera setup, the OnePlus 7 will have a dual camera system, with a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
Also, an accidental post from a YouTube blogger suggested that we might see an updated OnePlus Bullets Wireless 2 and a Car charger with support for Warp Charge 30.
