Hollywood’s biggest night is done and dusted now and the most awaited award list is out which never fails to create the history. This time it has come up with yet another shocking list which will leave you with surprises.
The night which celebrates the finest work by the directors and the actors came up with history creating business as it saw the most awards were bagged by the South Korean film Parasite. Not only this, in the acting category Joaquin Phoenix and Renee won the best actor award in the male and female category.
From the best actor to the best film, here is a full list of the winners of Oscars 2020:
Best Picture
The best picture award was given to Parasite and it created history as it was unexpected to come out for Parasite to win the award as the nominated films were of very tough competition but Bong Joon Ho directorial stood out and won the best picture award of 2020.
Best Actor (Female)
The biographical drama Judy’s astonishing star, Renee Zellweger won the golden man for her brilliant work in the Rupert Goold directorial Judy.
Best Actor (Male)
As expected, the best actor award was grabbed by Joaquin Phoenix for his performance in Joker and the star came up with an emotional speech that melted everyone’s heart. Joaquin said that he was a scoundrel but everyone gave him a second chance.
Best Director
The best International film, Parasite who won the best film award by creating history did not leave the director behind and the best director award was given to Parasite director Bong Joon Ho.
Music
The best Music (Original Song) was received by I’m Gonna Love Me Again from Rocketman.
International Feature Film
Parasite did not leave behind any award and also grabbed the golden man for an international feature film.
Visual Effects
The best visual effect award was given to Sam Mendes directorial 1917. The film well portrayed the story during World War I and garnered much appreciation from everyone.
Best Film Editing
Ford vs Ferrari bagged the best film editing award in Oscars 2020, Michael McCusker and Andrew Buggland received the award for the first time at the 92nd Academy Awards.
Best Cinematography
Roger Deakins grabbed his second Oscar and 15th nomination in the 92nd Academy Awards and he won the award for best cinematography for his film 1917.
Best Sound Mixing
The best sound mixing award was bagged by Mark Taylor and Stuart Wilson for 1917. The other nominated films for best sound mixing were Ad Astra, Joker, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood and Ford v Ferrari
Best Sound Editing
The best sound editing award was grabbed by Ford v Ferrari and the nominees for this award was 1917, Joker, Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Best Supporting Actor (Female)
After three times bring nominated for Oscars, Laura Dern finally made it and bagged her golden man this year. After receiving the ward, the actor said that it is the best birthday present she could get.
Best Supporting Actor
The best supporting actor award was received by Brad Pitt for his performance in the film Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, the film is directed by Quentin Tarantino.
Animated Feature Film
Toy Story 4 bagged the award and thanked their families for showing immense support in them. The other films nominated for this award was I Lost My Body, Klaus, Missing Link and How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World
Animated Short Film
The award for the best animated short film was received by none other than Hair Love, the film is directed by Mathew A. Cherry and Bruce W. Smith.
Best Costume Design
Jacqueline Duran grabbed the award for best costume design for the film Little Women.
Documentary Feature
American Factory received the best documentary feature award in 92nd academy awards. The other nominees for the documentary features were The Cave, For Sama, Honeyland and The Edge Of Democracy.
