Pathaan Box Office Collection Day 7: War has already achieved a personal milestone for director Sidharth Anand after 7 days in theatres. While Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone had already began to celebrate when the action blockbuster surpassed the lifetime of Chennai Express and Padmaavat in record time, Sidharth had to wait a bit longer due to the fact that he was attached to the even larger War.
Now, the director has surpassed the expectations set by his own hit film, which starred Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff in the lead parts. Pathaan has quickly surpassed the lifetime total of 318 crores amassed by the action-adventure film, which is now 318 crores less than the current total of 328 crores*. The feat was completed in just seven days, and on a non-holiday release. It’s a different story, though, that the Republic Day holiday fell on the second day, when 70.50 crores were collected and chaos ensued.
Pathaan has been making ripples at the box office not only domestically, but also internationally. The YRF spy thriller, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, has made a significant impact at the box office, and has already surpassed the Rs 500 crore mark internationally with its first weekend earnings, and will soon enter the Rs 600 crore club.
Wednesday’s box office receipts for Pathaan in India were Rs 55 crore, Thursday’s were Rs 68 crore, Friday’s were Rs 38 crore, Saturday’s were Rs 51.50 crore, Sunday’s were Rs 58.50 crore, Monday’s were Rs 25 crore, and Tuesday’s are anticipated to be Rs 21 crore. Pathaan’s worldwide gross has surpassed Rs 600 crore in less than a week.
The Siddharth Anand-directed film has even surpassed $10 million at the North American box office, placing it in the top five earners list. Pathaan has grossed over Rs 315 crore domestically in seven days. It was also the quickest Hindi film to join the Rs 300 crore club, surpassing top-grossing films such as KGF: Chapter 2 and Baahubali: The Conclusion.
Pathaan is Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback vehicle, as his last film Zero bombed at the box office. Shah Rukh Khan’s performance in the film appears to have impressed everyone, and the film continues to advance despite early challenges and calls for a boycott from right-wing groups.
