Petrol-Diesel Price today: Fuel prices likely to increase soon, see latest price

PTI in its report said that their sources in the oil industry say that fuel prices need to be upped by Rs 15 per litre for retailers to come back up to break-even levels.

Fuel prices on 22 March 2019: Petrol costlier, diesel rates drop

Petrol-Diesel Price today: The fuel prices have remained unchanged for the past four months and it has stayed the same on March 8 too.

However, there is a report doing rounds that claims that petrol and diesel prices are expected to spike this week as oil companies are getting ready to cut losses after they’ve kept rates steady for more than four months before the assembly elections in five states.

PTI in its report said that their sources in the oil industry say that fuel prices need to be upped by Rs 15 per litre for retailers to come back up to break-even levels.

Petrol and diesel prices in metro cities

Mumbai– Petrol is Rs 109.98 per litre and diesel costs Rs 94.14 for one litre.

Delhi—- Petrol is Rs 95.41 a litre while the rate of diesel was Rs 86.67 per litre.

Chennai

Petrol – Rs 101.40 per litre
Diesel – Rs 91.43 per litre

Kolkata

Petrol – Rs 104.67 per litre
Diesel – Rs 89.79 per litre

Bhopal

Petrol – Rs 107.23 per litre
Diesel – Rs 90.87 per litre

Hyderabad

Petrol – Rs 108.20 per litre
Diesel – Rs 94.62 per litre

Bengaluru

Petrol – Rs 100.58 per litre
Diesel – Rs 85.01 per litre
