70-year-old self-styled Godman, Kaushlendra Prapanacharya Phalahari Maharaj, who was charged for sexually assaulting his female disciple, was arrested on Saturday.
The 21-year-old girl from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur had lodged a complaint against the Maharaj, accusing him of alleged sexual exploitation. She had accused Baba of sexually exploiting her and raping her on 7 August.
He was arrested from the government hospital, where he was admitted.
The woman also has said that baba, who has an extensive ashram in Alwar, threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter. “A girl from Chhattisgarh’s Bilaspur has lodged a sexual assault complaint against Baba Phalahari,” said Alwar SP, Rahul Prakash.
