Dozens of hoardings asking Kashmiris to leave Uttar Pradesh or face the consequences have been reportedly put up across Meerut.

On Wednesday, Amit Jani, head of the UP Navnirman Sena shared a picture of the hate-mongering poster on his Facebook account.

Speaking to CNN-News 18, Jani lashed out against Kashmiri students and accused them as Pakistani supporters. He also threatened a boycott of Kashmiris in country’s most populated state. A large number of Kashmiri students and youth have been staying in various parts across Uttar Pradesh.

Amit Jani had earlier threatened to kill Jawaharlal Nehru University students Umar Khalid and Kanhaiya Kumar for allegedly calling the army rapists.

Jani had earlier been booked for vandalising Mayawati’s statue in UP.

Meanwhile, a group of Kashmiri students from Mewar University in Rajasthan’s Chittorgarh were allegedly beaten up and called terrorists by the locals.

Interestingly, a group of tribals in Madhya Pradesh have written to the Prime Minister, offering to take on “stone pelting” protesters in Kashmir with their traditional weapon, gofan (slingshot).
