Shimla: After since some posters offering adult jobs were found on the public toilet walls, the ex racket operators in the capital are on a lookout for boys.
A poster pasted on a public toilet wall at Victory Tunnel in the heart of the city read, “Apne shaher mein kamaiyan Rs 50,000 se 60,000 per month, har umar ke ladke call karen abhi”. The person just needs to call on the given number for the offer.
One interesting thing mentioned was that caller needs to make a WhatsApp call so that the number cannot be traced.
An investigation revealed that numbers given in the posters are of the Northeast and the agents do not respond to the calls without verifying the number.
A retired police officer said a large number of youths are indulging in drug abuse and the state capital is a key tourist destination, sex racket operators are eyeing youngsters for the flesh trade and the possibility of youths falling prey to such illegal activities cannot be ruled out as expensive drugs as ‘chitta’ have already made inroads in Himachal.
The local hotelier Sushant Nag who spotted the posters said “With tourism and allied sectors being the biggest money-spinner and employment generation sector for the hill state, its negative fallout has surfaced in the form of flesh trade and now lucrative jobs are being offered for gigolos”.
Earlier, no such case was registered and the demand for gigolos seem new to Himachal. This reported matter would be considered and prior investigation will take place, said Shimla SP Omapati Jamwal.
