Prices of subsidised LPG cylinders increased by Rs 4; non-subsidised by Rs 93-94

In a jolt to commoners, the prices of subsidised LPG cylinders on Wednesday were increased by Rs 4.6 per cylinder and the new price will take effect on the same day.

Thus, a subsidised LPG cylinder of 14.2 kilograms will now cost R. 495.69 in Delhi. While it will cost Rs 498.43 in Kolkata, the new cost will be Rs 498.38 in Mumbai and Rs 483.69 in Chennai.

On the other hand, non-subsidised LPG cylinders of 14.2 kgs will cost Rs 93-94 more in the metro cities. While non-subsidised cylinder will cost Rs 742 in Delhi, it will cost Rs 759.5 in Kolkata, Rs 718.5 in Mumbai and Rs 750 in Chennai.

Oil marketing firms are increasing the price in sync with rising global oil rates. The government asked the state-run oil companies to increase subsidised LPG prices by Rs 4 per cylinder every month.

There are nearly 18.11 crore customers of subsidized LPG in the nation.
