Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal’s MP from Ferozepur Sher Singh Ghubaya on Monday resigned from the party’s primary membership, while the party expelled him for ‘anti-party activities“.
At a press briefing which took place at Ferozepur’s Jalalabad, Ghubaya announced the decision, blaming the party head Sukhbir Singh Badal’s wrong policies for resigning and giving up on all posts from the party. Following the briefing, the party issued a note expelling Ghubaya.
Ghubaya a two-time MP from Ferozepur constituency seat, won it first in 2009 and then in 2014. In the run up to the 2017 assembly elections, Davinder Ghubaya, the son of Sher Singh had joined the Congress party and win from Fazilka on the party ticket.
