After several Bollywood celebrities testing positive for COVID-19, now Qurbaan Hua lead TV actor Rajveer Singh has tested positive for the deadly virus.
According to a report in a leading entertainment portal, Rajveer Singh will be in quarantine till he recovers and can be back for work again.
Singh has been working in the Indian TV industry since 2012 and he rose to fame with his popular TV show, Kya Qusoor Hai Amala Ka. Other TV actors who have been tested Covid 19 positive are Rupali Ganguly, Aishwarya Sharma, Ariah Agarwal, Chhavi Pandey, Tannaz Irani, Abrar Qazi, Narayani Shastri, Ritwik Bhowmik, Amar Upadhyay, Priyal Mahajan, Monalisa, Ankit Siwach, Karan Jotwani, Daljiet Kaur, and several others.
On Monday, while Bollywood actors Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar have been tested positive, Akshay Kumar got hospitalised after he contracted the virus on Sunday.
Meanwhile, strict COVID-19 restrictions have been imposed in Maharashtra due to massive surge in the coronavirus cases.
India recorded more than one lakh Covid-19 cases in a span of 24 hours on Sunday, the highest single-day rise in infections since the pandemic began last year. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare is yet to announce the cumulative Covid-19 tally in the country for Sunday.
The previous high was achieved on September 16 last year, when 97,894 positive cases were reported. With Sunday’s tally, nearly 1.25 crore people in India have been infected with Covid-19, with the active caseload crossing the 7-lakh mark.
