Former French President Francois Hollande in an unnerving revelation has stated that the French government had no choice in the partner for Rafale. Addressing the French media on Friday, Francois Hollande said that Indian government forced enforced Reliance as partners for Rafale Deal with France and that they were given no other choice to seal the deal.

“We did not have any choice in the selection of Ambani, Indian govt proposed Reliance. We worked with the interlocutor that was given,” said Hollande.

According to a report published in France, Hollande also said that the new device provides compensation contract to the Dassault Aviation owned by Reliance and its partners. The publication has quoted Hollande saying,

“We did not have a say in this, The Indian government proposed this service group, and Dassault negotiated with Ambani. We did not have a choice, we took the interlocutor who was given to us. That is why on the other hand, this group did not have to give me any thanks for anything. I could not even imagine that there was any connection to a film by Julie Gayet.”

Congress lashed out strongly affirming that Rafale was a sweet deal handed over to one of the crony capitalists of the current government.
