Delhi weather update: Scanty rain in 10 days, string of wayward forecasts leave residents puzzled

Even though the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted rain to fall in Karnataka, including Bengaluru, until December 16, the state capital of Bengaluru on Monday woke up to an overcast morning with drizzle.

In spite of the fact that Cyclone “Mandous” has lost strength in the states that are nearby, the IMD has issued a yellow alert for the districts of Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, and Shivamogga. The authorities in these districts took preventative action because they anticipated receiving a significant amount of rainfall and wanted to avoid any potential damage.

It was forecasted that the coastal districts of Dakshina Kannada, Uttara Kannada, and Udupi, as well as the districts of Bagalkot, Belagavi, Bidar, Kalaburagi, Koppal, Raichur, Vijayapura, Haveri, Gadag, and Ballary in north Karnataka, would receive an average amount of precipitation.

Rainfall is also predicted to have an effect on the southern districts of Chamarajanagar, Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Hassan, Kodagu, Mandya, Mysuru, Ramnagar, and Bengaluru Rural. These districts are located in the southern region of the state. Chitradurga and Davanagere, both located in the centre of the region, will also be pounded hard by the rain.

Farmers are anxious about the potential loss of their crops due to the persistent downpour.

As a result of the persistent and persistent rainfall, the authorities in the districts of Kolar and Chikkaballapur have decided to close all of the schools for the day on Monday. During this time, a large number of Bengaluru’s young children became ill as a direct result of the city’s chilly and wet weather.
