Two bodies including of a top Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) officer and a woman were found inside a car near Jaipur on Thursday. While the officer was identified as Additional SP Ashish Prabhakar, woman is yet to be identified.
The body was found inside an SUV parked on the Mahal road at Shivdaspura, some 30 km from the state capital. According to police, both were killed by gunshots fired from Prabhakar’s service revolver.
The police control room received a call from Prabhakar’s phone around 7 pm in the evening that a woman was lying dead inside a car. But when the police officials reached to the spot, they found Prabhakar’s body on the driver seat of the SUV car.
The woman was found lying on the lap of police officer. Some empty beer cans were also found inside the vehicle.
When the police team reached at the spot, it found the car locked from inside, said DCP Manish Aggarwal told India Today. “Two bullets were fired from Ashish’s service revolver. The police are exploring multiple angles including that of suicide. Their phone call details are also being examined,” Aggarwal said.
As per the sources, Prabhakar was running a civil services coaching institution wherein the woman was a student. There was an affair between the duos. Recently, Prabhakar who was married had resumed office in the ATS after a long study leave.
