From quite a sometime now, there was a buzz that Rajkummar Rao is going to star in Karan Johar’s Dostana 2. While the actor is gearing up for his upcoming release along Kangana Ranaut ‘Judgmental Hai Kya’, Rajkummar cleared the air of him playing gay characters in Dostana 2 and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan.
The actor told an entertainment portal that “No, I am not doing Dostana 2 and neither Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan.” When the actor was asked upon being approached for Dostana 2 he said “About Dostana 2, I met Karan [Johar]. Of course, I have immense respect for him but this one did not work out but I am sure very soon you will hear something very exciting from both of us.”
Recently Karan Johar took to social media to announce that Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor have been roped in to play the main leads in Dostana 2 but the team is on the lookout for ‘a suitable boy’ to play the other guy in the second part.
Also as per a source, Kartik and Janhvi are not paired opposite each other in Dostana 2. In fact, they are playing siblings in the film.
