Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is touted as one of the biggest movie stars of the current generation. He will celebrate his 37th birthday today. The Rockstar actor was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju and since then he has been missing from the silver screen for more than a year now.
His high budget film Brahmastra which was to release by the end of this year got delayed and the film will finally hit the screens in Summer 2020. Another one of his films, Shamshera, too, is scheduled for release next year.
He is one of the highest-paid actors of Hindi cinema and has featured in Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2012. Kapoor is the recipient of several awards, including six Filmfare Awards.
The romantic drama Rockstar (2011), in which he played a troubled musician and the comedy-drama Barfi! (2012), in which he played a cheerful deaf-and-mute man, earned Kapoor two consecutive Best Actor awards at Filmfare. A starring role opposite Deepika Padukone in the romantic comedy Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013) established him as a leading Bollywood actor.
