Monday morning witnessed a shocking incident where seven members of a family found dead in the same house in Ranchi’s Arsande. All the seven members were found hanging in a suspicious way in their house. Family head Dipak Jha was living in a rented house in Ranchi along with other six members of his family. According to neighbours, it was a lower-middle-class family and had no disputes with anyone.
It is said that the family was debt-ridden and the same is believed to be the cause of the death for the whole family. According to reports Dipak worked for a medicine company and had rented a house in a retired army Alak Narayan Misra’s building.
It was landlord Misra who noticed the dreadful scene on Monday morning and then informed the police about it. The family included Dipak Jha, his wife Soni Devi, brother Rupesh Jha, father, mother, son Jangu and a daughter Rishti.
Kanke police station officer has reached the spot. Ranchi police is investigating the matter. Although DSP Amit Kachhap has also arrived but the room where the bodies are hanging, has not been opened. They are waiting for the Forensic Science Laboratory team to reach the crime spot.
